Theresa Shan

I'm Theresa, a Leadership & Business Transformation Partner with over 15 years of experience helping businesses move through their next stage, whether that's growth, turnaround, restructuring, or the harder work of regenerating culture in teams.

I help founders and growing businesses transform into organisations that are structurally, operationally, and commercially capable of sustaining their next stage, whatever that may be.

My approach always starts with people, not from an HR lens, but from a business-needs lens. The right people, in the right roles, with the right clarity around what they're accountable for. That foundation determines everything else. From there, I look at systems and channels; what's working, what isn't, and where money is being left on the table. Then I build or rebuild the structures needed to capture it. And where necessary, I make the harder calls: cutting drag, exiting what's not working, and refocusing resources on what will.

This is work is not soft. Misaligned teams are expensive. Poor leadership structures cause frustrations. Founder dependency results in bottlenecks. Organisations that transform past those constraints consistently outperform those that don't.

Theresa leads with a rare blend of trust, honesty, and calm. She empowers her team to take ownership, make confident decisions, and grow into their roles, while offering grounded guidance and support along the way. Even in moments of chaos, she brings clarity and composure, creating an environment where people feel trusted, motivated, and able to do their best work.

Luqman H.

Working with Theresa has always felt collaborative and supporting. She is a leader who believes in your potential and sees your capabilities even before you fully see them yourself. She always has our backs when challenges arise, and approaches problems as something to solve together as a team. She is a genuinely kind and sincere leader.

Jeremy S.

Working with Theresa gave us the right balance of freedom and guidance to grow , both professionally and personaly. She trusted us to take ownership, while always being present to support, challnege and guide us when needed.

Farwizah R.

Theresa has been one of the best managers I’ve worked with. She knows how to spot what needs to improve, ask the right questions, and guide people in a way that feels honest and encouraging. She gave me the confidence to take on new challenges, learn from my mistakes, and keep growing professionally. I always felt supported, respected, and recognised, while also knowing she would be honest with me and help me get back on track when I needed it.

Author

I'm writing a book about leadership. An exploration of what it actually takes to lead people through complexity, pressure, and change without relying on fear, chaos, or burnout as the engine, and not losing yourself along the way.

The central argument is simple: high performance and humanity are not opposites. The strongest organisations are built by leaders who create environments where people are trusted, clear, accountable, and connected to meaningful work. That's not a cultural philosophy. It's a commercial advantage.

The book is grounded in the operational realities I've lived. Not just theory. Not just performance. More to come.
